Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) to oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects and their deployments. In this role, you'll work closely with technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects from requirement collection to final implementation for customers. You'll drive project coordination, keep timelines on track, and foster clear communication. Plus, contribute to refining processes and making improvements. This hybrid position is located in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg.

  • Project Oversight: manage all phases of projects, from initial scoping to post-implementation support, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery with clear communication to stakeholders.

  • Engagement: establish strong relationships with engineering teams, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.

  • Dependencies & Priorities Management: Oversee dependencies and the impact of shifting priorities—crucial in a startup environment. Collaborate with teams to shape the roadmap and refine ideas into clear project stages.

  • Resource Management: coordinate project resources and timelines, including internal experts and third-party vendors.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, resourcing gaps, timeline issues and take action to fix problems and keep the project on track.

  • Documentation: Keep comprehensive, organized records - project plans, templates, status reports, and change logs - and use them to improve processes and support growth.

Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field 

  • 3+ years in project management, including direct involvement in a technical role (QA, DevOps, or Development) for at least 1 year

  • Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects with an emphasis on IT infrastructure/Cloud

  • Good understanding of SDLC and their application in a moving startup environment

  • Basic understanding of software architecture and CI/CD process

  • Communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g. Jira)

  • Ability to manage teams amid shifting priorities and evolving requirements
